Pian di Seta Vermentinoigt
PRODUCTION AREA: singol vineyard Villetta di Monterufoli, Monteverdi Marittimo (PI)
VINIFICATION: Pian di Seta Vermentino grapes come from a selcted vineyards unique for its soil and micro-climate, the grapes are manually harvested, destemmed, softly pressed and kept at a temperature of about 10° C where a short firm maceration takes place; the must is than trasferred into stainless steel tanks where it starts the alcoholic fermentation at a temperature between 12° C and 14° C. Aftre the fermentation, part of the wine is transferred into new and 2nd barriques for 4 months while the remaining wine will only go through a stainless steel tank ageeing. The wine will continue its aging perio in bottle for about 1 year.
Nicely golden in color, it is sumptuos and with a strong mineral note at the palate. At the nose acacia flowers notes stand out followes by pleasant citrus feelings
