History
Monterufoli is located between Val di Cecina and Val di Cornia (Pisa). The estate is nestled inside a natutal park surrounded by a thousand hectares of uncontaminated nature, secular trees, a myriad of thermal springs and evocative vineyards, from which our Vermentino di Toscana and the iconic red Poggio Miniera are produced.
The historical building is located where the ancient railway station of the lignite mine used to be the terminus of the Casino di Terra - Monterufoli line. The same area was once owned by the Maffei, a wealthy Volterra family and later by the Gherardesca, the latter descendants of the most famous Count narrated in Dante's Divine Comedy.
