Tasting Notes
Tenuta di Montecorona

The Montecorona Estate features 8 hectares of hazelnut groves, about 4000 trees, made up of several traditional varieties such as “Giffoni”, “Nocchione” and “Romana”, as well as a parcel of a variety born thanks to the collaboration with the University of Perugia, called the “Francescana”, whose name recalls St. Francis of Assisi.
Through careful single-varietal harvests, it was discovered that some of these varieties were more suitable for niche production.
For this reason, toasted hazelnuts were conceived, vacuum-packed: crunchy, with an intense and aromatic flavour tending towards sweet and roasted.
In addition to the roasted hazelnuts, the Tenuta also produces hazelnut spread, with an inebriating scent that immediately brings back the aromaticity of freshly processed hazelnuts.
The hazelnut cream is produced with 52% roasted hazelnuts and is gluten-free, lactose-free and palm oil-free.

The Tenuta di Montecorona, with its 2000 hectares of land, the beautiful Badia in the center, and the ancient Camaldolese Hermitage that dominates the entire valley, stands as one of the most important agricultural realities in its area.
