Tenuta di Montecorona

Around the year 2000, a plant of the old “Montecorona” variety was found, so named because it was among the first varieties cultivated around 1930 on this estate. Some branches were taken and, after being reproduced in the nursery, in a few years gave birth to the estate's current orchard.
The Montecorona peach is a variety with large fruit, very colourful both outside and inside, with a consistent reddish-yellow juicy and fragrant pulp.
The Montecorona variety is not the only one produced today; the exquisite Tabacchiere, the yellow and white Nettarine, and other peaches are also cultivated. An array of varieties with a wonderful scalar ripening, bearing fruit from July to October.
The Tenuta di Montecorona, with its 2000 hectares of land, the beautiful Badia in the center, and the ancient Camaldolese Hermitage that dominates the entire valley, stands as one of the most important agricultural realities in its area.
