Rosso di Montepulciano DOC​

History of wine

"Rosso di Montepulciano is the 'gateway' to poliziano wine. It is not a Vino Nobile and does not aspire to be; it is a wine with its own specific identity and defined characteristics: balanced, elegant, with a slight initial tannic note. A perfect wine to start the journey of discovering the Montepulciano territory.

Vinification and maturation

Fermentation and maceration at controlled temperature (24°-26° C) with daily pumping over; after the racking, wine will proceed the ageing for
4 months.

Tasting notes

The taste is a good balance, fine and with a slight initial tannic. To serve in medium size goblet.

Pairings

Perfect with antipasti, pasta dishes served with red meat sauce or filled pasta, second course of grilled red meat.

Fattoria del Cerro, located in Montepulciano (Acquaviva), in the province of Siena, extends over 600 hectares of property, of which 181 are vineyards. With its 93 hectares registered in the Vino Nobile register, it is the largest private producer of Vino Nobile di Montepulciano.
